In 23 years we have had 6 duty stations, 11 houses, 4 dogs and countless cats. The only consistency in our lives have been each other. Living a like this requires you to bond to people who are only in your life for a brief moment, those who are woven into your hearts by the same circumstances. Living like this requires that you give up the bonds with people who mean the most to you. Living like this can harden your edges, leaving raw open wounds, leaving you exposed to the next phase of life.
